Hello, this is some art that was done for a series of tee shirts. The theme was dime novel spy smut. It was done by combining and manipulating found images and adding some text and texture. The titles were given to me so I
apologize for the "orient" one.
Either painting or clicking, as usual; some tasty sweetness. Do you have any referrals to tutorials on how you achieve that awesome weathered finish? I've played with a few Photoshop procedures, but my results are not anywhere as effective as yours. Maybe I'm just not pushing it far enough?
ReplyDeletethanks! I work in photoshop and the final result is assembled in illustrator. Bitmap tiffs are the file types that are placed in illustrator. The back ground texture is charcoal smeared around on paper then crumpled up. Oh yea, I actually printed the design on the paper and then went at it with the charcoal. This turned out to be a stupid idea because I lost most of my editing capibuilities to the original image and had to layer it back in, but the charcoal concept worked. The weathering textures on the image I pulled off a disk called "laundry mat"? or the "auto mat"? There easy to make though. Create a texture, make it a bitmap tiff, place over top of your image and make it the same color as the back ground. My favorite one to use is one that I made.
ReplyDeleteWow. Thanks man. I figured there wouldn't be a short-cut to that quality of a finish. I'l definitely try out the bitmap to Illustrator procedure. Cheers Dane.
